Our Founder
Sarah Schoellkopf, Ph.D.
Dr. Sarah A. Schoellkopf is a documentary producer, human rights scholar, and founder of DoctoraStories. After more than two decades in academia researching and teaching human rights and gender, she turned to filmmaking as a powerful form of education and storytelling. She is a producer of the award-winning documentary Norita, about Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo co-founder Nora Cortiñas, as well as Ferguson Rises, Rainbow Girls, Hellcat, La Tierra del Valor, The Stolen, and the Argentine films Madres and El perseguido. Through DoctoraStories, she produces films that amplify underrepresented voices, inspire empathy, and empower communities to tell their own stories.
